Engineering Manager

Due to continued success our client, a leading engineering company, is now recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join their team.

With a great reputation, they take pride in their high-quality products and commitment to excellence.

This is a senior management position reporting directly to the managing director where the post holder will be responsible for managing a team of long standing engineers and have overall responsibility for the site.

What you'll do
  • You will be integral in ensuring the continuous improvement of manufacturing techniques via design and process management.
  • You will be responsible for the management of a multidisciplinary engineering team to include quality, design, and manufacturing engineers.
  • You will provide technical direction across the organisation with a sound and pragmatic approach to delivering the highest quality product efficiently.
  • You will be implementing best practise procedures and roll out instructions to the engineering team leads and operatives.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 framework and promoting a culture of continuous improvement through the organisation and management of projects within the engineering team, regularly tracking & reporting on progression.
  • You should provide a high level of technical support for production and manufacturing teams and manage NPD projects including sample design and full R&D process.
What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have experience of leading a team within an Engineering Manufacturing setting.
  • You should have strong people management skills with the ability to get the best out of your team, and have a willingness to learn.
