Job Summary

SkillsHouse are seeking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic SkillsHouse Engagement Advisers to join SkillsHouse, Bradford Council’s all-age careers and employability service.

Engagement Advisers are the front-line service of SkillsHouse. These roles focus on telephone and email contact with service users and community outreach. To provide the best support to clients there will be regular evening and weekend working.

Main Responsibilities

To be a first point of contact for Bradford residents looking for employability support.

To ensure that referrals and requests for support are picked up in a timely manner and allocated to the right team or service.

To undertake outreach activities across the district.

To respect the needs of all clients, especially those facing barriers due to ethnicity, sexuality, disability or other factors.

To maintain impartiality, treat people fairly and with dignity, and be aware of the barriers people face.

To be flexible in developing the role and undertake any other duties in line with the post.

Essential Skills

Experience of delivering high quality provision and / or training with young people

Demonstrates work with young people / adults including those NEET

Experience of work in a school / college institutions

The applicant will need access / use of a car
