The Role

As a Freelance Warehouse & Employability Tutor, you'll deliver practical, engaging, and inclusive training sessions as part of adult employability programmes in Derby and Nottinghamshire.

You will:

  • Deliver classroom and practical training in Warehouse Operations, Health & Safety, Stock Control, and Employability Skills
  • Support learners to achieve Level 1‑2 Warehouse & Storage qualifications
  • Provide mentoring and personalised guidance to help learners gain confidence and move into employment
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body standards
  • Travel to different training locations within Derby and Nottinghamshire as required

This freelance role offers flexibility and autonomy, ideal for experienced tutors seeking to expand their portfolio while making a real difference.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in warehousing or logistics and a passion for adult learning and employability.

You will also have:

  • Experience delivering Warehouse or Logistics training in adult learning, vocational, or employability settings
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, health & safety, and industry standards
  • A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (AET / PTLLS, DET / DTLLS, TAQA / Assessor Award)
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and learner motivation skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport for site travel
Desirable but not essential
  • Experience delivering AEB or DWP-funded programmes
  • Occupational background in warehousing or logistics
