Overview

Role: Emissions Technician
Location: Peterborough
Rate: £30 ph Umbrella (Inside IR35) OR £22 ph PAYE
Duration: 12 month rolling contract

Join the Emissions Measurement Team at a global automotive company in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. As Emissions Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, calibrating, and maintaining emissions measurement equipment.

You will conduct technical investigations into current and future emissions measurement technologies, critical to achieving net zero goals. This is a hands-on, varied role within a technical laboratory environment, offering a broad mix of tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Hands-on responsibility for evaluating and deploying measurement equipment.
  • Overseeing the operation of measurement equipment and conducting diagnostic investigations.
  • Total Preventative Maintenance and calibration of emissions measurement equipment.
  • Modifications to facility plant, test rigs and equipment.
  • Providing first line breakdown cover.
Requirements
  • Experience of plant or instrumentation maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Apprenticeship trained with an electro-mechanical bias or equivalent industry experience.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques and Permanent Corrective Actions
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge of gaseous measurement and/or particulate measurement.
Shift pattern

This position comes with a 22% uplift across all shifts. Earlies (05:30am-2pm), Days (07:00am -4:30pm), Afternoons 1pm - 10:30pm). This role includes working 1 weekend in 4
