Overview

St Marys Hospital is part of the world renowned Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, one of the four designated Major Trauma Centres for London and the only Major Trauma Centre in central London.

St Marys is one of the busiest Major Trauma Centres across London and has some of the highest survival rates for trauma nationally. This is through exceptional teamwork and a culture of collaboration. This is an exciting role within the Emergency Department at St Marys Hospital, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced band 6 nurse to join our emergency department team to provide specialist trauma and resuscitation care to patients. There will be opportunity to develop the role, foster a culture of continuous learning and be at the forefront of trauma and resuscitative care.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned care for a group of patients without supervision
  • Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based, individualised patient care
  • Assist and advise staff, both registered and unregistered in the delivery of patient care
  • Maintain accurate clinical observations of the patient and act accordingly
