This vacancy is open only to applicants from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight NHS system, which is limited to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, Southern Health FT, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust, University Hospital Southampton FT, Solent NHS Trust, South Central Ambulance Service or Hampshire Hospitals FT.
We are looking for an Emergency Care Administrator to join our busy team within the Emergency Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton. This role is based primarily in the Emergency Department, which operates shifts across a 24‑hour period including days, evenings, weekends, nights and bank holidays. Unsocial hours payments will be made.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the department and you will report to the Emergency Department Admin Manager and Deputy Admin Managers who are on hand to offer support. You will need to have good communication and organisational skills, a strong team‑work ethic and demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues. A flexible approach to working routines is essential due to the 24/7 operational requirements of the Emergency Department.
