Join a dedicated legal team based in central Edinburgh and support significant work with national impact within a reputable inquiry team handling complex evidence and legal processes.

Job Details
  • Job Title: Paralegal – Eljamel Inquiry
  • Contract Length: 23 months
  • Contract Type: Contract
  • Location: Central Edinburgh (hybrid working available 3 days in office)
  • Salary: £39,747 per year; LTD day rate: £207.58 PAYE (Inc) £177.14
Responsibilities
  • Managing the sharing of highly sensitive information and material to and from witnesses in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Using sound judgement to undertake assessments of relevance of recovered evidence in line with Inquiry policies and protocols.
  • Implementing redaction processes to tight legally set time frames, including application of complex redaction for disclosure of evidence.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, such as recognized legal representatives.
  • Assisting with preparation for hearings of the Inquiry, including preliminary and evidential hearings.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous Paralegal experience or an undergraduate degree in law or a relevant field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
