Elite Transient Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) – Coventry

Department: YUS - FT13 - General Engineers

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Coventry

Reporting To: Regional Field Manager

Compensation: GBP 44,805 / year

Hours: Working away – open to discuss levels of transient work 1, 2 & 3 (1 week out of 4, 2 weeks out of 4, 3 weeks out of 4)

Description: Technical upskilling, full debt training and ongoing mentoring support provided. Basic Salary: GBP 44,805.

Overview: We are growing our field gas and electric metering capability. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, safe metering solutions in the commercial sector. You will be upskilled to work in three-phase, medium pressure, and related debt resolution activities, with opportunities to progress into leadership and technical roles.

Responsibilities

• A 'can-do' attitude, participating in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes.
• Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems.
• Undertake debt resolution visits to fit a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt (dedicated back-office support available).
• Undertake Warrant Officer visits to resolve debt with support (never solo).

Upskilling & Career Path

• Current upskilling: Three phase, Medium pressure, customer debt resolution visits, Warrant Officer duties with support.
• Opportunities to upskill to: Half Hourly / CT Metering, Gas U16 - U40, Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager.
