Job summary

A global centre of excellence is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Brighton, UK. This role involves leading the NPI Development team, ensuring quality and cost-effective manufacturing of electronic components. The ideal candidate will have experience in NPI/NPD roles, specifically within electronics assembly, and must be proficient with PCBA and ERP/MRP systems such as SAP. This position offers an opportunity to oversee prototype builds and work closely with design and operations teams to optimize production areas.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in leading a manufacturing or production team.
• Experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) role.
• Knowledge in electronics assembly and/or PCB/cable assembly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPI Development team for quality and delivery of new parts.
• Liaise with design staff to ensure manufacturability of designs.
• Oversee prototype build of products and prepare relevant documentation.
• Participate in PFMEAs and DFMEs.
• Work with Operations personnel for optimization of assembly areas.

Skills

Experience with PCBA

Leadership in manufacturing or production team

Experience in NPI and NPD within electronics assembly

Use of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferable)
