Job summary

A well-established distributor in Broadbridge Heath is seeking an Electronics Engineer to manage product data, support technical queries, and maintain accurate MRP system records. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electronic components, proficient in MRP/ERP systems and technical drawings, with excellent communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to various industries through meticulous data management and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain part numbers and product files in the MRP system.
• Support Bill of Materials (BOM) setup and testing before handover to Production.
• Handle customer technical queries, especially for non-franchised components.
• Review customer drawings, identify suitable suppliers, and update MRP records.
• Keep product and supplier information up to date, including global distributors.
• Manage commodity codes and ensure accurate record keeping.
• Maintain a library of technical documentation, datasheets, and drawings.
• Support or lead product inspection activities when required.
• Ensure all technical data is properly logged and accessible to staff.

Skills

Strong understanding of electronic or electrical components

Confident using MRP/ERP or technical data systems

Able to read and interpret technical drawings

Methodical, detail-focused, and proactive in keeping data accurate

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Good time management and ability to prioritise workload
