Overview

Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer role in Poole, Dorset with a small friendly mechatronics engineering design and manufacturing business offering unique products. The role focuses on electrical and electronics design within a team, collaborating on ideas and drawings with colleagues in engineering and manufacturing.

Products include mechatronic assemblies and electrical layout and electronics systems for special purpose equipment. This position concentrates on the design aspects of electrical and electronic systems in engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and electronics mechatronics design engineering.
• Developing electrical and electronic designs, and capturing electrical layout and schematics into CAD.
• Working on low volume projects, so the work is often fresh and not highly repetitive.
• Be part of a team working on different products, with well managed weekly project review meetings.

Qualifications

• Team player, supporting the wider design process as part of a team.
• Experience as an electronics design engineer, or as an electrical design engineer or mechatronics design engineer.
• HND, or Time Served Engineer, BTEC Level 4, HNC, or Electrical Engineering or Electronics degree and the ability to use CAD software to understand and create engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proven ability to select, design and test design functionality of electrical and electronic systems through calculations and simulations.

• Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 guideline + pension

• Hours: Daytime Monday to Friday, earlier finish on Fridays
