Missile Test Architect

Location: Stevenage – hybrid: 2‑3 days a week on‑site

Salary: £35,000‑£55,000 plus paid overtime, annual bonuses and other benefits

Take responsibility for the entire test architecture of cutting‑edge weapons systems as a Missile Test Architect.

Overview

You will be well‑rewarded at this well‑known defence company that produces military weapons systems with bonuses, annual salary reviews and paid overtime and so forth.

Responsibilities
  • Analysing and modelling internal systems to understand the test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions, including considering cost vs. test coverage trade‑offs.
  • Managing compliance with the lower‑level test requirements, including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings and factory test functionality.
  • Working closely with the manufacturing and design teams to ensure the final product is fully testable and to understand/minimise the gaps in test coverage.
Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent experience with focus on test, electrical or electronic engineering, including testing various components.
  • Experience gathering requirements and managing budgets and projects.
  • Expertise in some of the following areas:
    • Digital electronics and microprocessor systems,
    • Analogue electronics,
    • Electronics testing,
    • Test equipment design.
  • Eligibility: British and Dual Nationals due to security reasons
Success Profile

You will be successful in this role if you are curious, innovative and keen to progress further in a role that involves managing the process of high‑end test equipment development from delivery into service.

Eligibility

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
