Overview

Position: Electro / Mechanical Build Technician
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 + Excellent Benefits / Prospects

Join a cutting-edge engineering business building advanced high-tech systems for global customers. We're looking for a hands-on Electro / Mechanical Build Technician to support the assembly, testing and development of complex equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Build and test electro-mechanical systems.
  • Wire control panels and power cabinets.
  • Assemble mechanical components and cabling.
  • Carry out electrical, functional and safety testing.
  • Work from technical drawings.
  • Support customer site commissioning (some travel).
  • Drive build improvements, 5S and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Electrical Engineering (or similar) or be a Time-Served
  • Strong AC/DC knowledge and PLC hardware experience.
  • Excellent wiring, soldering and mechanical skills.
  • Able to read electrical drawings.
Desirable
  • PLC software knowledge, machinery safety, SAP, Lean / 5S experience.
