Job summary

A social housing contractor is seeking an experienced Electrician for a long-term temp role in the Royal Leamington Spa area. The ideal candidate will carry out electrical repairs, EICR testing, and ensure compliance with the IET Wiring Regulations. Key qualifications include C&G 18th Edition and a full UK driving licence. Office Based in Stratford Upon Avon

This is a mobile role, but your working area will be in and around Lemington Spa

You will require your own van and tools

Mileage will be paid

Full-time - Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

ITS Property Maintenance are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Electrician to work on a long-term social housing maintenance contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs, fault finding, and EICR testing in tenanted and void domestic properties across Lemington Spa.

**You must a full UK driving licence and your own van for this role**

Key Elements of the Role & Responsibilities
  • Electrical fault diagnosis and repair
  • Rewiring, fuse board changes, and remedial works
  • Smoke alarm and extractor fan installations
  • Ensuring compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
  • Providing excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including BS 7671 and internal policies, while ensuring appropriate PPE and tools are used at all times
  • Carry out safe and compliant electrical repairs and installations, prioritizing first-time fixes and high standards of workmanship
  • Diagnose and rectify faults across domestic electrical systems, including full and partial rewires, in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues to keep all parties informed of job progress and outcomes. Escalate complex issues when needed for further assessment
  • Support the planned works team by completing full electrical upgrades in kitchens, bathrooms, or entire properties—both occupied and void
  • Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations
  • Completing compliant EICRs, Electrical Certificates and Condition Reports
  • Performing responsive repairs and remedial works as per job sheets
  • Installing smoke alarms, extractor fans, and domestic accessories
  • Maintaining accurate records, certificates and material logs
  • Advising when further trades are required
  • Working collaboratively with other operatives on multi-trade solutions
Essential Qualifications
  • C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences
  • NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3
  • NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ 3 2356 certificate
  • C&G 18th Edition Certificate
  • Full UK driving license
Desirable
  • Unvented Hot Water Certificate Water Regulations Certificate
  • Part P JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card
  • Testing & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377
  • PAT Testing Certificate
Experience & Attributes
  • Experience in domestic or social housing maintenance
  • Competent with EICRs, fault finding, remedial works, rewires
  • Strong tenant communication and customer service
  • Able to work to job sheets and manage workload efficiently
  • Own tools (specialist tools supplied)
