The Project

As a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the senior management team, overseeing electrical packages on new education developments, banking/retail schemes, and a range of small to medium-sized construction projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role involves leading on-site teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining strong communication with clients to meet expectations and manage relationships professionally throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Essential professional qualifications include:

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Valid CSCS / JIB / ECS Card

Experience required:

  • Proven experience managing electrical packages across education, banking, and other key sectors
  • At least three years' experience as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role with a reputable contractor or subcontractor

The Role

Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Type: Permanent

Projects: Various education developments, banking/retail schemes, and other construction projects

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Duties
  • Client management and conducting audits
  • Overseeing daily electrical operations and offering specialized expertise
  • Direct liaison with subcontractors and resolving challenges affecting project timelines
  • Conducting project assessments, monitoring spending, and maintaining budgets
  • Overseeing electrical works across multiple projects
  • Maintaining health and safety standards on-site
  • Reporting to the Managing Director and collaborating with head office for subcontractor appointments
  • Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Monitoring project timelines and responding to client concerns promptly
  • Allocating resources and collaborating with procurement
  • Providing project updates and conducting inspections for compliance
  • Ensuring proper documentation and quality control
