Overview

Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Yorkshire/Leeds
Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a

We are working with a leading contractor in the water sector who are looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer on a permanent basis. This role will be based mainly around Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region, delivering essential infrastructure schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team, taking technical ownership of projects from design through to completion. Typical schemes include pumping stations, dosing and chlorination systems, and associated water treatment assets.

The Role
  • Manage electrical engineering projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to the highest standards.
  • Lead on electrical installations for water-related projects.
  • Oversee early-stage site investigations and liaise with clients, designers and site teams.
  • Prepare and review RAMS, method statements and project management plans.
  • Manage procurement, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to design reviews, cost control and budget monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Develop project programmes and manage ITPs throughout delivery.
  • Support project close-out with as-built records, test certification and O&M documentation.
The Candidate
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within the water or utilities sector.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Trimble (Amtech), AutoCAD or Relux advantageous.
  • ATEX knowledge beneficial but not essential.
