Are you a skilled and proactive engineer with a passion for facilities maintenance and delivering exceptional service?

Sodexo is seeking a Electrical Multiskilled Engineer to support the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services across our HMRC Birmingham and covering West Midlands regional cluster. Reporting to the Hard FM Supervisor, you'll manage both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and play a key role in ensuring full statutory and contractual compliance through our integrated maintenance systems.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver reactive and planned M&E & fabric maintenance (e.g. boilers, HVAC, BMS, lighting systems).

  • Ensure full compliance with safety standards (Sodexo Zero Harm) and statutory requirements.

  • Work with contractors to carry out inspections, testing, and remedial works.

  • Provide real-time updates and maintain digital compliance records (e.g. Maximo).

  • Support emergency response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.

  • Assist with small projects and billable works, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

  • Participate in on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours/weekend work.

Essential qualifications
  • HND/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services.

  • 5+ years' experience in building services and plant engineering.

  • IOSH Passport or CSCS card.

  • Fluent in written and verbal English.

  • Clean UK driving license.

  • Must be over 21

  • Physically fit for site-based work.

  • Proficient in IT systems, including Excel, Word, and CAFM platforms.

Desirable qualifications
  • Multi-skilled in property maintenance.

  • Experience with EZMax or Maximo systems.

  • Previous AP/CP responsibilities in disciplines like Electrical or Pressure Systems.

  • Knowledge of CDM regulations.

  • Experience managing subcontractors.
