Overview

Job title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stevenage

Security Clearance: SC – BPSS Start - UKEO

Duration: 12+ Months

Work pattern: Fully Onsite

Pay rate: £35 - £40 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35

Responsibilities
  • Maintain process equipment and environmental stress screening facilities; diagnose faults, repair equipment and ensure spares packages are updated to minimise downtime.
  • Manage externally held maintenance and breakdown contracts.
  • Work autonomously to maintain process, ESD and extraction/monitoring equipment.
  • Support operations on day-to-day preventative maintenance tasks; conduct repairs using drawings, circuit diagrams, schematics, and user manuals.
  • Mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
  • This role involves a fair amount of physical activity, including crawling into cabinets; candidates must be physically able.
Qualifications
  • HNC or higher in relevant engineering subject.
  • Experience and knowledge in fault finding down to component level.
  • Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Experience working on manufacturing process equipment (CCA manufacture desirable).
  • Experience with vibration shakers and environmental chambers desirable.
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently; analytical approach and good problem-solving skills.
  • Able to use instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance.
  • Good understanding of SAP is desirable.
