Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a 3-month rolling contract in Thatcham. Responsibilities include reactive maintenance and planned preventative tasks across various machines. The ideal candidate will have industrial electrical experience and an NVQ LVL 3 or equivalent. Immediate start available with a pay rate of £33–£35 per hour, outside IR35. Shifts will follow a consistent Panama pattern, ensuring a minimum of 42 hours per week.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy industrial site on a 3-month rolling contract. You'll be responsible for ensuring machinery is running smoothly and efficiently across the site.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance: fault finding and replacing components on a variety of machines.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Electrical responsibilities: fault finding on PLCs and a variety of electrical components such as sensors, relays, proximities, control panels, single phase, three phase, AC and DC motors and contactors.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous Electrical experience within an Industrial environment - this could be Manufacturing, or FMCG.
• NVQ LVL 3 or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering is a must.
• Able to fault find and repair a wide range electrical component.
• Experience with working PLCs (Siemens S5 and S7).
