Around 3,500 farmers based in East Anglia and the East Midlands supply our four advanced manufacturing sites with eight million tonnes of sugar beet every year. We, in turn, make this in to over 1 million tonnes of sugar, serving customers across the UK, Ireland and increasingly growing commercially in the EU and world sugar markets.

At British Sugar, electrical engineering powers everything we do. Our sites combine advanced power generation, energy recovery, and distribution systems to produce up to 85 megawatts of electricity — keeping our factories running safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you’ll design, maintain, and develop the electrical infrastructure that supports the production of over a million tonnes of sugar each year — a true example of engineering on an industrial scale.
