Job description

Hey, Industrial Electrical Engineers! Are you ready to join the Energy Recovery revolution? We're on a mission to make the world a cleaner place, one facility at a time - and we need your expertise to help us get there. We offer a salary of £48,643 - £50,000 plus Car/Allowance (~£7,864), up to 10% Bonus (~£5,000), Private Health Care, and Pension. You'll spend around 40% of your time travelling across the UK (on average 2‑3 days per week away from home) to provide project and operational support.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering technical expertise in electrical design, HV systems, and I&C within industrial and power‑generating environments.
  • Supporting project lifecycles: from developing specifications, design reviews, and modelling with tools like ETAP/Trimble, to hands‑on commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Driving improvements in operational reliability, compliance, and performance across multiple plants.
  • Acting as a go‑to engineer for breakdowns, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • A background in electrical engineering within process, power, electrical design or heavy industry.
  • HNC or higher in electrical Engineering (degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an electrical engineering background.
  • Proven engineering experience within a technical role with transferable skills.
  • Experience in electrical design.
  • A good understanding of high voltage (11 KV) systems; previous HV authorisation would be an advantage.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with industrial instrumentation & control systems.
  • Hands‑on approach with excellent problem‑solving.
  • Experience with electrical design and system modelling software.

In return, you'll gain exposure across multiple cutting‑edge energy recovery facilities, while developing your expertise in power generation, HV systems, and industrial design. For this role we would consider a person from an electrical design background who may be looking to transition into a more hands‑on engineering role.
