Job description

We are looking to develop our engineering team to meet our generation and refurbishment challenges and as a result have opportunities for an Electrical Engineer working across both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog power stations to join an existing team of skilled engineers. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation, integrity, and performance of our electrical assets across both power stations. Responsibilities
  • Deliver plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects within assigned budgets
  • Manage resources and contractors to meet business plan objectives and KPIs
  • Provide expert advice and develop innovative solutions for electrical plant improvements
  • Implement quality, environmental, health, and safety initiatives
  • Conduct residual life assessments and advise on risk management for electrical assets
  • Investigate and solve plant-level problems to enhance performance
  • Assist in developing maintenance and asset management strategies
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Detailed knowledge of electrical systems in the power industry
  • Experience in managing contracts and holding roles such as Technical Officer
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification (essential)
  • Chartered status (desirable)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide expert technical guidance
  • Excellent project management and communication abilities
  • Commitment to safety and environmental best practices
