Job summary

A leading global real estate services firm in Scotland is looking for an Electrical Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct inspections and repairs, and work collaboratively with team members. Strong Electrical and HVAC experience, along with relevant certifications, is required. This position may include on-call duties and out-of-hours work. Qualifications

  • Must hold C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition qualification required.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and building fabric repairs needed.

Electrical Engineer

Based: On client site at Rolls‑Royce, Inchinnan, Scotland

Hours: 40 hrs Monday – Friday

What your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low‑voltage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, emergency lighting and access control.
  • Testing and inspection: conduct regular testing and inspection of low‑voltage systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
  • Fault diagnosis and repair: identify, troubleshoot and resolve faults in low‑voltage systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
  • Preventive maintenance: carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimise equipment downtime, increase system reliability and extend lifespan of low‑voltage systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
  • Compliance and safety: adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes and standards to ensure safety and minimise risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Collaboration: work effectively with other team members, contractors and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required. Maintain documentation and records of all work performed.
Requirements:
  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection certificate preferred)
  • 18th edition of relevant regulations
  • Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
  • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
  • Knowledge of building fabric and experience in basic fabric‑reactive repairs
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations for maintenance activities
  • Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
  • On‑call one in five weeks (allowance paid), JLL transport provided
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Positive 'can‑do' attitude
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
