Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of hazardous area design, intrinsically safe calculations, instrumentation loop diagrams, and cable calculations.

Join NRL’s client, a large UK engineering company, based in Warrington, as an Electrical Designer. You will deliver high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs for water utility projects, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and industry best practices. This is a technically hands-on role working closely with cross-discipline teams to integrate electrical solutions into complex infrastructure projects.

What you will need

  • HNC or Degree in a technical engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering electrical installation designs in the water utility sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671 – 18th Edition) and CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Relux/Dialux, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite, plus experience with Aveva, Navisworks, and Revit.
  • Strong understanding of hazardous area design, intrinsically safe calculations, instrumentation loop diagrams, and cable calculations.
