Overview

Electrical Design Engineer - Solar (Industry training available)

You will need to be based in or near Colchester, Braintree, Chelmsford or surrounding areas.

Circa £65,000 + 2 Bonus Schemes per year + Generous Pension + Life Assurance + Employee Assistance Programme + Cycle to Work Scheme + EV Scheme + 33 Days Annual Leave + Excellent Company Culture + Solar Training if needed + Progression into Management.

The Role

• Lead Electrical Design Function. Oversee the delivery of compliant, buildable, and cost-effective electrical designs across renewable energy projects.
• Team & Stakeholder Management. Manage the internal design team and third-party designers, ensuring high-quality outputs and effective collaboration.
• Drive Project Efficiency & Growth. Enhance project delivery, quality, and efficiency while supporting the companies growth in the renewable energy sector.

The Person

• Must have relevant strong Electrical Design experience - any experience within Solar would be a distinct advantage though this is not essential
• Looking for training in Renewables if you do not have Solar experience
• Progression into management for the right candidate
