Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

Croydon, UK

Full-Time | Permanent

Are you a skilled Electrical Design Engineer looking for your next opportunity in a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy? We're working with a reputable building services engineering firm based in Croydon that is looking to grow their dynamic MEP team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education, and healthcare, while further developing your expertise in electrical building services design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver detailed electrical designs (LV power, lighting, fire alarm, security, containment, etc.) in line with current regulations and standards
• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure coordinated MEP design
• Carry out site visits, surveys, and inspections as required
• Produce specifications, schematics, and drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Support the development of junior engineers and work collaboratively within the design team

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent)
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role within building services
• Proficient in industry software (Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, Revit desirable)
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and time management skills
