Job description

My client is looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager. They are a dynamic and fast-growing Electrical contractor who are considered one of the leading players in the Design and Build sector. They primarily work on commercial projects in Central London with a focus on fast-track fit-outs.

They are currently going through an exciting period of growth, with a new client list and booming workload doubling turnover in recent years and are therefore looking to add an Electrical Contacts Manager to support delivery of upcoming projects.

Electrical Contracts Manager Position Overview

As a pivotal member of the contracts department, you will oversee the successful execution of electrical projects ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Contract works programmes, tech subs, and Health and Safety documentation.
  • Preparation of contract applications and account reports, variations and commercial submissions and monthly contract reports for Director review and Client issue.
  • Manage end-to-end electrical projects, from initiation through installation and commissioning.
  • Lead project teams, including project and site managers
  • Collaborate closely with clients, ensuring project alignment with their requirements.
  • Liaise with in-house BIM / Cad Departments on design issues.
  • Budget and Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address project risks proactively.
  • Health and Safety: Uphold safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Electrical Contracts Manager Preferred Person Specification
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or experience.
  • CSCS/SMSTS/SSSTS.
  • Knowledge of Building Services: Familiarity with commercial electrical systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing electrical projects.
  • Suitable for either an established contracts manager or a senior electrical project manager looking to make the step up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading successful project teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and customer service.
  • Ability to problem-solve to meet operational targets.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
