  • Ensuring installation, test and commissioning works are delivered to agreed technical methods, procedures and standards
  • Attending and providing input to SR106 commissioning panel meetings
  • Producing, collating and managing the project commissioning file
  • Controlling drawings and schematics, including mark‑ups and updates arising from commissioning
  • Developing and reviewing commissioning and test documentation, including Commissioning Switching Programmes, Method Statements, test reports, certificates and handover records
  • Deploying configuration and setting files to SCADA BCUs, RTUs, protection relays and network devices (such as Ethernet switches), and verifying correct operation
  • Defining site equipment and materials needed to support commissioning activities, and managing spares and test equipment
  • Controlling LOTO in line with safe working procedures, including permits where required
  • Identifying, investigating and resolving technical issues and faults during commissioning and energisation
  • Liaising with project managers, site teams and other stakeholders to keep delivery aligned and on track
  • Providing safety leadership and reinforcing health, safety and environmental best practice on site
Where you'll be doing it

You'll be joining a specialist engineering business focused on operational technology and digital transformation, delivering advanced system integration projects across highly regulated sectors. They work on critical infrastructure in energy, water, renewables and manufacturing, operating in complex HV substation and grid environments and supporting large‑scale, long‑term programmes of work.

  • Experience deploying configuration files and carrying out verification on electrical devices
  • Experience writing and contributing to test and commissioning specifications and plans
  • Experience with industrial SCADA systems
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills, with a structured and analytical approach
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team, work well under pressure and to deadlines, and motivate others to do the same
  • Flexibility in methods of working to achieve the best outcomes
