A local council in Scotland is seeking an enthusiastic practitioner to join their nursery team, supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer. The role involves developing high-quality learning experiences for children and collaborating with staff and parents. Candidates must possess HNC/SVQ3 in Early Education and Childcare. Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council is required within six months of hiring.
36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, fixed term until 13 April 2026

St. Ninian’s Primary School and Nursery Class serve the communities of Dedridge, Adambrae and Murieston. Our school roll is 254 and nursery with up to 40 children per session.
We are seeking an enthuisatic practitioner to join nursery team within the setting supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer. The post holder will develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment, and will ensure the effective use of positive behaviour strategies for all children in partnership with staff, parents and other appropriate professionals. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff work on a rota across the opening hours.
