A prominent UK university is looking for an Education Outreach Officer to support student recruitment initiatives. This role involves developing and delivering events, representing the university at conventions, and providing vital information about progression to higher education. The Education Outreach team works in partnership with teams across the University to promote the University of Leeds and recruit the brightest and best students, irrespective of background. The team develop and deliver a range of on-campus and online events, as well as attend Higher Education events in schools and colleges across the UK. The team is instrumental in leading and supporting our co‑ordinated and focused approach to outreach, working collaboratively with subject and contextual outreach teams across the Educational Engagement Service, and key stakeholders with widening access and student success remits.
You will take an active role in all activity. You will develop, deliver and evaluate activities to support student recruitment and widening access. You will also represent the University at national and regional Higher Education Conventions, and in schools and colleges to ensure that learners, teachers, careers advisers and parents understand the benefits of studying at Leeds, our courses, and the progression routes available. You will deliver a range of presentations and workshops to support progression to the University and higher education more generally. You will also provide support in the administration, evaluation and reporting of events. The role will involve travelling across the UK for events, which includes evening work, occasional weekend work as well as some overnight stays.
