Summary

m2r Education are working with this training and development company who provide a range of public services, including employment support, skills training, independent living, prison education. In addition, they are recognised as being one of the Top 25 Education and Training providers to work for.

Role
  • Developing the curriculum in line with needs of the prison population, local labour market and employers.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and quality improvement process and procedures are in place and that they develop and sustain a culture of continuous service improvement.
  • Agreeing and setting targets with staff members to ensure both financial and contractual obligations are met and exceeded.
  • Effectively planning and controlling income and expenditure to ensure a profitable business by maximising contract performance.
  • Ensuring that all contracts are run in accordance with external and internal procedures.
  • Recruiting, managing, developing and maintaining discipline of staff employed in the department. Responsibility for health, safety and wellbeing of staff and learners, maintenance and security of the department in line with policy.
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies
  • Maintaining and developing positive internal and external partnerships. Attend meetings with local partners as required.
  • Champion excellence in teaching, learning, assessment and behavior management strategies relevant to the custodial setting.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree and / or professional qualification
  • Teaching qualification
  • Substantial teaching experience as well as evidence of continuous professional development
  • Experience of Quality Assurance
  • Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills coupled with the ability to manage own workload.
  • UK Right to Work
  • Valid DBS.
