Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected aerospace business in Sheffield as they look to expand their manufacturing team with the appointment of an experienced EDM Machinist.

The Role

Working within a state-of-the-art machining department, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components using EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) processes. You’ll ensure parts meet exacting aerospace standards, interpreting technical drawings and maintaining high levels of accuracy across all work.

This role operates on a 3-shift rotating pattern and offers a competitive salary of circa £39,400.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting, operating and monitoring EDM machinery (wire and/or sink)
• Producing precision components to aerospace specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Conducting quality checks using inspection equipment
• Maintaining machine performance and completing basic preventative maintenance
• Working to lean manufacturing principles and adhering to strict safety standards
