Ecologist — £28,000 - £35,000
Essex, UK (hybrid)

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a multidisciplinary consultancy, providing ecological, arboricultural, and landscape services to a variety of high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors in the UK.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Ecologist. The successful candidate will assist on a variety of projects and protected species surveys, from project inception through to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Assist on a variety of ecological projects and protected species surveys from inception to completion.
  • Support project management and coordination within a professional ecological consultancy context.
  • Contribute to surveys, data collection, and initial mitigation planning under supervision.
  • Collaborate with senior team members and other disciplines to deliver client requirements on time and to a high standard.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree in ecology with proven experience within a professional ecological consultancy.
  • Knowledge of ecology, legislation, survey techniques, including protected species surveys and mitigation.
  • Understanding of relevant protected species planning policies.
  • Excellent communication skills; self-motivated, organized, and able to multi-task and work collaboratively.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
