Job summary

A leading upper-tier COMAH chemical manufacturer in Manchester is seeking an EC&I Engineer to join their permanent team. The role involves providing expert support across plant operations and maintenance, ensuring compliance and improving reliability of EC&I systems. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering and 5-10 years' experience in high-hazard environments. Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, or similar high-hazard environments.
  • Strong knowledge of COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR, and hazard assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the site's SME for EC&I matters.
  • Develop and maintain site standards and technical documentation.
  • Lead or support projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Provide guidance on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot issues across PLCs, DCS, SIS, and field instrumentation.
  • Participate in COMAH audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Manage minor modifications and plant upgrades.
