Location: Longsight, Manchester (M12)
Salary: £600 £800 per week (ECTs welcome paid to scale for long-term roles)
Contract: January to July (long-term)

About the Role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Longsight (M12) area of Manchester from January 2026 through to the end of the academic year. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to giving children the best possible start to their education.

You will be working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting young learners as they develop key skills through play-based and structured learning. You will be part of a warm, supportive team and will work closely with experienced support staff to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

The Role

In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging EYFS provision that supports children's learning and development across all areas of the curriculum. You will create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children feel confident and supported, build strong relationships with pupils and families, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports early development
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider school team
Requirements

Applicants must hold QTS or a PGCE and have experience working within an Early Years setting. We are looking for someone with a caring, patient approach, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for early years education. ECTs are very welcome to apply, and pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
