Overview

We are looking for an excellent EYFS practitioner to join our team and help us to lead the school on its continuing journey of success. About the Role - EYFS Lead (TLR2a). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher to shape the foundations of learning for our youngest pupils and lead the strategic development of our Early Years provision, achieving high standards of GLD.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, delivery and assessment of the EYFS curriculum across Nursery and Reception
  • Champion high-quality teaching and learning that reflects the principles of child development and early education
  • Lead and support a team of EYFS staff, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Ensure progression into KS1 is seamless, developmental and inclusive
  • Drive innovation in early years pedagogy, including play-based learning, continuous provision and outdoor education
  • Monitor pupil outcomes and lead data-informed interventions
  • Lead on a subject throughout the school
  • Work closely with SLT to align EYFS priorities with whole-school improvement
Qualifications and attributes
  • Is an excellent EYFS practitioner
  • Is diligent, organised, reliable and takes pride in their work
  • Has a friendly and approachable manner and a good sense of humour
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and well-being
  • Is proactive, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Has extensive experience in the EYFS
  • A good understanding of phonics, early reading and early identification of SEND needs
  • Is a nurturing practitioner with a good understanding of trauma and attachment
  • Experience of leading others
  • Experience of curriculum development
