Job summary

A community-focused educational organization in West Yorkshire is seeking an Early Years Coaching Professional to mentor Level 5 apprentices. Qualifications

  • Mandatory qualifications include Level 5 coaching and relevant childcare certifications.

About the job
  • Lead and support the planning, coordination, mentoring, and delivery of training and assessment for Level 5 apprentices in the Early Years sector
  • Share professional knowledge and experience from the Early Years field to help apprentices achieve their qualifications to a high standard and within expected timeframes
Responsibilities
Assessment
  • Design and deliver tailored training plans based on individual apprentice needs
  • Conduct reviews with apprentices and employers to identify gaps in knowledge and skills
  • Maintain accurate records for each apprentice, including observations and assessments
  • Deliver high‑quality training and assess skills and behaviours using the ePortfolio system
  • Support functional skills delivery where required
Training
  • Create and implement individual action plans covering Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Deliver training using approved resources, including English and Maths in collaboration with functional skills specialists
  • Provide support on Prevent, British Values, Safeguarding, Personal Development and Welfare
  • Support online sessions to apprenticeships
  • Promote topics such as mental health, online safety and career guidance
Coordination and Support
  • Monitor apprentice progress and support timely completion of portfolios and End Point Assessments
  • Record and report Additional Learning Support (ALS) needs and outcomes
  • Liaise with employers and line managers to support reviews, progression and programme engagement
  • Ensure quality onboarding and evidence collection for each apprentice
  • Attend CPD, standardisation events, and company conferences as required
Administration
  • Complete documentation for apprenticeship enrolment, progress tracking and employer visits
  • Ensure timely achievement of all apprentices and maintain records to support Gateway and End Point Assessment readiness
  • Provide programme data and contribute to quality improvement processes
Other
  • Carry out additional duties as required
  • Promote and uphold equality, diversity, and safeguarding across all aspects of the role
  • Promote Eden Training Solutions at every opportunity with apprentices, as well as all other internal and external parties
About you
Qualifications
  • Mandatory qualifications:
    • ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching (or equivalent)
    • Children’s Care Learning & Development (Level 3), Childcare & Education (Level 3), Early Years Care & Education (Level 3) or equivalent/higher qualification
    • Teacher, training qualifications or equivalent (eg: CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert‑Ed)
    • TAQA or equivalent qualification (eg: D32/33, A1, CAVA) (Or a willingness to work towards)
    • A♯‑C GCSE English (or equivalent)
  • Desirable qualifications:
    • Foundation/honours degree in Early Childhood Studies
    • V1, D34 or IQA
