Job summary

A supportive educational organization is seeking a part-time Art Therapist in Basingstoke to promote young children's emotional well-being. In this role, you will deliver creative therapy sessions and support pupils facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have an Art Therapy qualification or strong relevant experience, alongside a warm, child-centered approach. You will work within a friendly school environment, providing tailored support to help children express their feelings and foster their growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering emotional or creative support to children.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured art therapy sessions to children aged 4-7.
  • Support pupils with emotional, social, or behavioural needs.
  • Help children express feelings through creative activities.
  • Develop tailored therapeutic approaches for individual pupils.
  • Work closely with the SEN and pastoral teams.
  • Create a safe, calm, and encouraging therapeutic space.
