About the Team

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our well respected and knowledgeable Early Years Quality Standards and Safeguarding Team (EYQSS team).

The EYQSS team aim to provide a dynamic universal offer of advice guidance and support for all early year’s providers to ensure children receive high quality early education and care. We also offer targeted support at an individual school or early years setting level.

We work closely with our colleagues in early years sufficiency and business and school effectiveness as well as external partners such as time to talk to ensure our support is streamlined and effective.

About the Role

We currently have a 0.4 role available for an experienced reception teacher to work as part of our busy team to support the requirements of the Giving every child the best start in life early years reform.

This is a fixed term role until 31st August 2027 and would also suit a secondment opportunity. Your employer would need to give their consent for this.

To work as part of a team with the responsibility to ensure the Local Authority meets its statutory responsibilities relating to safeguarding and quality improvement through access to advice, support and training, across Early Years and Childcare provision.

To implement strategies to improve the quality of early education and childcare.

Key Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher status
