EAL Primary Teaching Assistant - Arabic

Location: Manchester

Salary: £475 - £575 per week

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30am-4pm)

Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester. The successful candidate must be fluent in Arabic and confident in supporting pupils across all year groups to develop their English language skills, both academically and socially.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, language development, and helping children thrive in a diverse school community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted language support for pupils with Arabic as their first language
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing confidence in English
  • Work with individuals and small groups to improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to adapt resources and ensure inclusion
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate
  • Support classroom activities and contribute to a positive learning environment
Requirements
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
  • Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting (primary preferred)
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive, flexible, and patient approach to supporting learning
