Executive Assistant (Maternity Cover)
EA / PA with Marketing and HR Support

Location: London (hybrid working)
Contract: 12 Months
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday

The Role

A reputable Barristers’ Chambers is seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide maternity cover. This is a broad, hands‑on role combining senior‑level PA support with marketing, communications, and HR administration responsibilities.

The position suits a proactive EA who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, is comfortable managing competing priorities, and enjoys working across multiple functional areas.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Assistant / PA Support
  • Manage day‑to‑day diary coordination, meetings, and expenses for a senior director.
  • Draft correspondence, policies, briefings, and meeting minutes.
  • Arrange travel, itineraries, hospitality, and internal events.
  • Manage contracts, insurance schedules, and compliance tracking.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support ad‑hoc projects and operational initiatives.
Marketing, Communications & Events
  • Support the development and delivery of annual marketing plans.
  • Manage CRM and event management systems to track client engagement and activity.
  • Coordinate digital and print marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Oversee website updates, liaising with external suppliers where required.
  • Produce promotional materials and newsletters (design experience using Canva or similar tools advantageous).
  • Manage social media activity (LinkedIn), including supporting senior stakeholders with content.
  • Organise seminars, receptions, and external events, both UK‑based and international.
  • Coordinate submissions to professional directories and awards.
  • Track marketing budgets and prepare regular management reports.
HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files.
  • Track staff absence and manage onboarding documentation.
  • Support recruitment processes for administrative roles.
  • Coordinate staff training and certification records.
  • Support compliance with employment legislation and data protection requirements.
  • Escalate HR issues appropriately.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally within professional services.
  • Experience supporting or working alongside marketing and/or HR functions.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; confidence learning new systems.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, event tools, or marketing software is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Degree‑level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically 5+ years’ experience in a similar EA or senior administrative role.
