Duty Manager at McCarthy Stone - Eastry Place, Canterbury

McCarthy Stone is looking for a professional Duty Manager to join their team at the prestigious Eastry Place development in Canterbury.

This role offers a unique approach to care—it's better than traditional!

Salary and Hours

Base salary: £13.56 per hour (day rate) and £11.44 per hour (sleeping night rate), plus additional pay (see below).

Hours: 33.5 per week, including day and night shifts.

Day shifts vary between 08:45 - 16:30 and 16:15 - 09:30.

Night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00.

Duty Managers sleep from 23:00 to 07:00, providing emergency support to homeowners during this period.

About the Role

We seek a professional Duty Manager to uphold our high customer standards. This role involves supporting the management and smooth operation of a community of active, independent older adults, ensuring they enjoy their lives in elegant private apartments in a beautiful setting, with reliable assistance available when needed.

About You
  • You are warm, friendly, organized, and self-motivated, with experience in care or support environments and excellent care skills.
  • You are interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector, ideally holding a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults), though relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.
  • You are responsible for managing the security of the development and overseeing the safety and wellbeing of homeowners and support teams.
  • You can coordinate activities to foster community spirit.
  • You are eager to develop your skills, lead by example, and think proactively.
  • You aim to positively impact the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
