A leading mental health charity in North Yorkshire is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Assertive Outreach Worker to engage with individuals experiencing substance use challenges. This role involves delivering harm-reduction interventions and supporting recovery efforts within a multi-disciplinary team. Working Hours : 37 hours, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with a 4:30pm finish on Friday

North Yorkshire Horizons is a service made up of several key partners led by Waythrough, enabling the development of a peer‑led recovery community. It provides a safe environment in which people can develop life skills and confidence to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from substance misuse, successfully reintegrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our North Yorkshire Horizons service in Scarborough, which offers individualized support packages for people who are experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use.
The role will be embedded within our multi‑disciplinary Multiple Disadvantage Outreach Model (MDOM) team, working proactively to engage with individuals experiencing a range of different complexities and vulnerabilities. You will deliver a variety of harm‑reduction interventions on an outreach basis and support a small caseload of these cases towards engaging with wider treatment provision and support.
