PART TIME DRIVER with experience in additional needs

POST TITLE: Transport Driver

LOCATION: Colchester

RESPONSIBLE TO: Transport Manager

JOB ROLE:

To transport clients to and from the Bright Lives CIC centres within North Essex.

To drive the minibus to transport service users and support staff in accordance with the Highway Code and in accordance with good practice to maintain client, staff and public safety.

To provide basic maintenance of the minibus. E.G. oil levels, water levels. Check service schedules including MOT dates, to maintain basic working order and prevent unnecessary deterioration of the vehicle. To ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy both inside and out.

To work with adults of all ages who have a wide spectrum of disabilities including physical, challenging, sensory and learning disabilities that may cause distress and create difficult working environments.

Morning from 7.30 am to 10.30 am

Afternoons from 14.30 - 17.30 pm.

Experience in driving passengers with additional needs an advantage.

Enhanced DBS will be required, this can be obtained for a suitable candidate at the companies cost.

Experience in driving a transit size vehicle or people carrier required.
