Job summary

A waste collection service provider in Plymouth is seeking a skilled driver for waste collection vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess an HGV Class C Licence and previous HGV driving experience, with a strong emphasis on health and safety. Overview

The role involves the driving of allocated waste collection vehicles, including 26-tonne refuse vehicles. You will drive and be responsible for your allocated vehicle, including its security, and you will control and supervise the staff that are with you. Prior to leaving the depot, you will be responsible for checking that the vehicle is roadworthy by undertaking a Daily Vehicle Maintenance Check and for reporting any defects to the Supervisor in accordance with Council procedure. The use of an in-cab device to check workflow demands is also required.
