Location: Based in Norwich, covering events across Norfolk and Suffolk

Contract Type: Casual / Event-Based

Are you confident, outgoing, and love being on the move? We’re looking for an outgoing, confident Driver / Event Staff member to support our promotional activity across Norfolk and Suffolk, especially at football games and county shows. You’ll be responsible for driving our branded van, collecting stock pre-event, delivering and setting up at the event and then selling copies of our newspapers with the team, including Eastern Daily Press, East Anglian Daily Times, Norwich Evening News and Ipswich Star. Finally, closing the event down and returning all stock to our central warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting stock and driving our branded van to events and venues across the region
  • Setting up promotional stands and equipment (gazebos, banners, etc.)
  • Selling our newspapers with “goody bags” and encouraging engagement with brands.
  • Wearing a banded uniform and maintaining a smart, approachable appearance.
  • Supervising small teams (1–5 staff) at events when required
  • Deliver stock to the event and deliver back to the warehouse any unsold stock.
  • Lone working at times to prepare goody bags ahead of events
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A full, valid driving licence.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Have a warm, approachable personality with great communication skills
  • Having a willingness to follow briefs and risk assessments
  • Be reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
