Job description

Genesis Energy, L.P. is a publicly traded, master limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas. Key Duties:

1. Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank to safely transport crude oil from the field to pipeline injection point or refinery.
2. Check and record bottom sediment, water percent, temperature, and gravity of the product.
3. Record volume and lease site load/unload activity into a hand-held computer for printing run tickets.
4. Prepare driver's Daily Report and other paperwork.
5. Inspect truck, tires, tank, and surrounding area for safety concerns; ensure all operating equipment is in proper working order and safety conditions.
6. Report the volume of product hauled for accounting, revenue, and payroll purposes.
7. Actively participate in and promote the company's safety programs.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

1. Possess a valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X).
2. Pass a pre-employment DOT medical exam.
3. Pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings.
4. Have a driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
5. Be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
6. High school diploma or GED preferred.
7. Two or more years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience preferred.
8. Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) preferred.
9. Adhere to applicable DOT regulations; this position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
