Driver's Assistant – Community Equipment Service

The community equipment service (CES) is a specialist provider in Herefordshire, commissioned by Herefordshire Council to deliver equipment that supports independent living.

Responsibilities
  • Safely loading and unloading community equipment assets using best-practice manual handling techniques.
  • Assisting the driver with deliveries and collections.
  • Positioning, assembling, and setting up equipment in service users’ homes.
  • Picking, preparing, and loading stock onto vehicles.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all users.
  • Ensuring deliveries are accessible, safe, and completed to a high standard.
  • Supporting warehouse operatives when required.
  • Adhering to all health & safety and manual handling regulations.
  • Occasionally driving vehicles if needed.
