Gully/Drainage Operative Position

Job Description

Vector is currently seeking Gully/Drainage Operatives on behalf of our client, an infrastructure services contractor, for a temporary-to-permanent role located near Winchester, Hampshire.

In this role, you will work in tandem with an HGV Driver as part of a two-person team. Your primary responsibility will be operating a vacuum hose and jetting equipment to clear roadside drains, ensuring they remain unblocked. This job is physically demanding due to the frequent lifting of drain covers.

Requirements

• MUST have access to personal transportation, as the depot is not easily reachable via public transit.
• Prior drainage experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Candidates who are successful at interview stage will need to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Shift Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM (10 hours paid per shift)

Pay Rates

• Day Shift – £33,410 – £12.85 per hour
• Night Shift – £41,756 – £16.06 per hour (10 hours paid per shift)

Payment will be made on a PAYE basis, and there are enhanced rates and bonuses for hours worked outside of standard hours and for meeting specific performance targets.
