Drainage Engineer

Our client is growing - and they're looking for a Drainage Engineer to join their Survey Team! If you're experienced in inspecting foul and surface water networks, and enjoy problem-solving in varied environments, we want to hear from you.

Our client are a busy Marine and Civil Engineering Company, employing around 90 specialists in commercial diving, confined space operations, and access engineering across Wales. This role offers the chance to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and be part of a dynamic, supportive team.

What you'll be doing:
  • Conducting drainage surveys using mainline CCTV rigs, coding defects to MSCC5 standards, and producing detailed reports.
  • Carrying out connectivity, impermeable area, and manhole investigations.
  • Working closely with in-house teams and managing sub-contractors where needed.
  • Bringing innovation and a can-do attitude to complete survey briefs on time and on budget.
  • Being adaptable to undertake a variety of survey disciplines within the drainage sector.
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in drainage connectivity/mapping surveys.
  • Knowledge of operating CCTV systems and producing standardised coded reports (e.g., WinCan).
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and within watercourses.
  • Confident IT skills, including Word & Excel.
  • Strong team player with problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of structures, construction materials, and common defects.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • OS19X / OS21X qualification is advantageous but not essential.
